• This short tutorial (12+ minutes) will give you several great ideas to keep the shadows in your paintings colorful and lively.  Each technique will be followed up with great visuals to show you exactly how you can keep your paintings fresh, right down to the shadow colors.
  • This 37 minute video is full of tips to help you create a successful cloud painting.  I'll show you my simple color palette, and then you'll get to watch this painting in real-time, brush by brush.  We'll look at ways to get realistic edges and subtle shadow changes.  I'll show you how to drop in a very simple landscape at the bottom, and ways to keep the landscape small, so your sky becomes even larger.
  • Not only do daffodils introduce spring in my neck of the woods, but they are one of the most enjoyable flowers to paint!  I love the freedom to use lots of different colors and shapes.  They each seem to have their own unique personality. This course will walk you through 6 small studies where I show you up-close brushwork for 6 different types of daffodils.  Then you'll see me paint a large vase, brimming with flowers. At the end, I look over the work and share thoughts on what's working and what's not!  Then you'll see me fix a few things.  I think it's just as important to know how to fix something as how to  paint it! I hope you'll join me in this fun expedition.  One of my very favorites!
  • In this detailed course, you'll see how I painted all the individual items (glass, leather books, ferns, orchid, apples, clay pot, basket, ceramic pot, paperwhite and window frame).  As I paint each item, we'll look at ways to intensify the color and to introduce more luscious colors into the painting.  This process will leave you with lots of ideas on how to generate a more colorful and beautiful painting of your own. This course is over 3 1/2 hours and is broken down into small lessons.  Please check out the introductory video below: https://youtu.be/HkfRRjNQ-lQ
